ABOUT THIS IS IT

A work that found it's roots during the Destination Unknown project.
It consists of white ink on white paper, in a white frame. The tekst lies slightly deeper in the paper, providing readability as well as the slightly different tone of white. The print also lies 1.5cm deep in the frame, providing double-depth.

THIS IS IT / IT IS THIS / THIS IT IS / IS THIS IT 
will increase or decrease in readability depending on the light and on the readers position. From one point the letters will seem darker, from another position the letters will seem illuminating and sometimes you cannot read anything at all.

For me it was about extracting text from the position as title, to give it it's own legitimate space. And how we interpret the same words in a different order differently, even there's no intonation applied.

Once heard, it's fascinating how many times the phrase "this is it" - referring to the moment it all comes down to - , is being said. But is this it?
