ABOUT NEW NATURE / THE WORK

This exhibition in concept store Brandpunt / curated in store, was curated by Anne Paternotte. All of the participants' work had a relation to nature in a way.

The two works I've showed are Ex-it and In·ter·val.

In Ex-it, from Latin exire - retracting, going out of, the middle part is most important. The photograph shows a human made waterfall, a broken flow, a straight middle. Turning this picture upside down creates a surreal image, with the feeling of being so close to reality - which it is. In the black middle the reflection keeps the tension between the real and the mirror image. 

In In·ter·val, in-between space. I've created a free to take postcard. Both sides have imagery, similar but different. The 'front' shows a mountainside opened-up, at the back it's the same image, but with the mountainside seemingly complete. Which one is more true - is one more true?
